RND Services, Inc. headquarters
RND Services, Inc. specializes in the manufacture and rebuild/overhaul of electrical control centers and electrical distribution boxes used in the coal mining industry. In addition to this specialty, RND has rebuilt and overhauled coal mining equipment including scoops, shuttle cars, continuous miners and other mining production equipment. RND provides equipment and maintenance consulting services, relying on the expertise and years of experience of the founders. The company was established in 2017 by Charles D. Williams and Ryan D. Cox. Mr. Williams and Mr. Cox have more than 40 years experience in coal mining, with most of this time spent in the management of equipment maintenance programs and capital equipment purchases and budgets.
RND Services is expanding the shop facility and purchasing additional manufacturing equipment in order to streamline production efficiencies and to better meet customer’s needs. This will allow for increased production capacity and efficiencies. Some manufacturing operations that are currently being outsourced will be done in house.
RND Services has established customers in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, and British Columbia in Canada.
Our Mission
RND Services, Inc. will provide quality, low cost repairs to equipment designed around the SAFETY of our EMPLOYEES and CUSTOMERS, that utilize our expertise in the mining industry and experience with equipment & services. RND Services will provide the utmost in customer support through our “hands-on” management style from the owners and all employees. RND Services will provide a work environment that will be admired by its employees, competitors, & business partners.
What We've Achieved
RND Services, Inc. was established in January 2017 by Charles D. Williams and Ryan D. Cox – each are 50% shareholders in the company. Charles Williams serves as President and Ryan Cox serves as Senior Vice-President.
President & Vice President have invested over $400,000 to date.
RND Services purchased a vacant lot in 2017 from Master Machine Company on River Street in South Fork, PA.
RND Services built a 2,400 sq. foot shop facility in 2017/18; 1,850 square feet of additional shop work space was added during the summer of 2019; a new Swift-Cut PRO510 CNC Water Table (plasma table) was purchased to facilitate manufacturing.
The business parking lot was paved in the fall of 2018; an office trailer was purchased in 2019, construction is currently underway and is anticipated to be completed by the Spring of 2020.
There are currently 4 full-time employees and 1 part-time employee. The Company plans to hire an additional 5-10 employees over the next 5 years.
RND Services provides a broad package of professional services to the mining industry, including consulting services in mining maintenance management, mechanical & repair services for mining equipment and rebuilds, and the distribution of mechanical & electrical components.
